Sheri Elaine Gretschel Edwards

Sheri Elaine Edwards was born in Lake Jackson, Texas, on November 11th, 1960. She was called into her heavenly father's arms on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024. Those who knew her loved her. The cancer that took her life had not been diagnosed and we had less than 31 hours to say good-bye. Sheri had found salvation some years ago and had committed her life to Christ. Sheri loved sharing her faith and conducted a weekly bible study group and maintained a Christian blog.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. and Joyce Ann Gretschel of Lake Jackson.

Sheri is survived by her husband Dennis J. Edwards of Rosharon, Tx., her step-children John Edwards of Strafford, Mo. and Jennier Brancato of N. Kansas City, Mo., her grandsons Alex Edwards, Adam Edwards and Peter Brancato, her brother Michael S. Gretschel, her nephew Christopher M. Gretschel, her aunt (sister) Debbie Johnson, her nephew Jarred Johnson, and her niece Jamie Johnson. She will also be missed by many other nephews, nieces, and cousIns.

In keeping with Sheri's wishes she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Alvin Senior Center, 309 W Sealy St., Alvin, Tx. 77511 on Saturday, August 10th, between 3:00-5:00 pm.

In lieu of any flowers, we would ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
