Nancy Elaine Harper

Nancy Elaine Harper, 57, or Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away September 26, 2018, in Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. She was born October 7, 1960 in Lake Jackson, Texas.

She attended Brazoswood High School where she was very active in the Brazoswood choir. She married Ronnie Harper July 14, 1978.

An avid music and sports fan, she attended many activities in those areas in which her children and grandchildren participated. She also worked with special children in BISD for a period of time.

Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson. She was a daily Bible reader, and loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. She loved being a grandmother and one of her greatest joys was celebrating “Christmas in July” with her grandchildren while they were on their summer break from school.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie; and her sister, Susan Redden.

She is survived by her parents, Johnnie and Wanda Redden; sisters, Lee Ann Stephens and Carol Buegeler; brothers, Ronald and Richard Redden; daughter, Jennifer Gallion; sons, Jesse and Jeremy Harper; grandchildren, Sarah Gallion, Tenley, Jacelyn, Alexis, Aiden, Ava, Emily Harper and Wade Gorman; also many nieces and nephews.

She had many treasured friends among whom were Debbie Groves, Libby Broaddus, Teri Ryan, and Kathy Corbell. She was especially close to her doctors, Evelyn Shearer and Melissa Isbell.

Nancy will be remembered for her outgoing, friendly personality and devoted love of her family. She was generous, kind, cheerful, thoughtful of others and compassionate. All who knew her and associated with her will miss her .

In accordance with her wishes, there will only be a private family service
